About Kiwi

The Kiwi Project was started in May 2009 with the goal of making a general purpose operating system optimized for more modern computers. The exact goals of Kiwi are not really set, however we do aim to try new and experimental ideas.

Kiwi is based on the now defunct Exclaim codebase by the Exclaim developers (who now work on Kiwi) after the project was killed for a variety of issues. However the Kiwi developing process is a lot slower and is less of a flashy project than Exclaim was.
